For five days only, the Orange County Government is opening up their tenant-based rental assistance (HOME TBRA) waitlist for low-income seniors (age 62 and over) or individuals with disabilities who are “head of the household”. A training session for becoming a master trainer for the Chronic Disease Self Management Program / Tomando Control de su Salud will be held at the Florida Hospital in Winter Park from Monday, Dec. 13 through Saturday, Dec. 18. The training, which is taught in English and Spanish, is normally $1,500 per person, but is being offered at no cost, thanks to the Florida Department of Elder Affairs.
