Amy Kaufeldt, Co-Anchor of FOX TV's "Good Day Orlando" morning show, will be the featured luncheon speaker at Newcomers of Central Florida, Inc.'s October 17 luncheon. Her presentation on "Finding a Healthy Balance in Life" will cover the challenges of balancing a heavy workload with the demands of motherhood.
The program will be held at Tuscawilla Country Club, 1500 Winter Springs Blvd., in Winter Springs. Members, non-members and guests are welcome. Luncheon tickets are priced at $23. Ohio native Amy Kaufeldt moved to Orlando in 2003 after holding anchoring jobs in Montana, Tennessee and Oklahoma. In her job as co-anchor of the WOFL FOX 35 morning show, Kaufeldt has interviewed a wide range of people--including Garth Brooks, Jay Leno and President Barack Obama. She and her husband Brian are the parents of three young children. Kaufeldt leads an active lifestyle--rising at 3 a.m. on work days and sharing bedtime with her children at 8:30 p.m. She encourages healthy eating habits in her family, and volunteers at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Florida. She once hiked the Grand Canyon from top to bottom and back again in a single day.
