The Goldenrod Historical Society & Museum will host American Legion Winter Park Memorial Post #112 on this special Centennial Saturday. Members of the Post #112 and Auxiliary will be available to answer any questions you may have about their organization. The American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. It is the nation’s largest wartime veteran’s service organization, committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow service members and veterans.
Pick up a Centennial Passport or bring your own to have it stamped. Children, History Quest’s are here. Receive a prize for answering our History Quest clue.
